Founder @ THE ARTS+ digital culture festival
Holger Volland is the founder of the digital culture festival THE ARTS+ and Vice President of the Frankfurt Book Fair. High culture and digital innovation have always been equally part of his life. As the son of a bookseller and an IT expert, he grew up in the midst of both books and computers. While still at school, he published a school newspaper and worked for publishing houses.
He studied information science and worked as an Internet pioneer at Pixelpark, one of the first multimedia agencies, in Berlin and New York. Later, he was a partner and managing director of a management consultancy and led the New Economy Business School. At the same time, he taught design at the University of Wismar and curated major exhibitions of contemporary art in Argentina and Germany.
Holger Volland lives in Frankfurt and is a sought-after speaker and presenter on topics related to digital change and culture.
