Chelsea Turowsky is an American interdisciplinary artist and chef working in food and text. Concluding her studies in poetry in San Francisco, where she worked closely with a collection of some of the most influential international contemporary poets as a core member of The Poetry Center and American Poetry Archives, Chelsea has lived the role of editor at New Directions Publishing as well as manager of a trauma recovery nonprofit program for youth in Portland, Oregon before fully pursing her exploration of gastronomy in 2016.
Since then she has worked exclusively as OMIOMI, a plant-based culinary studio focused on dining experiences motivated by nutrition, flavor impression, cognitive neuroscience and the translation of the conceptual into the edible, partnering frequently with design companies and visual artists.
Chelsea currently leads OMIOMI, UP AND COMING, and in response to the COVID-19, crisis has co-launched The Virtual Table. Chelsea is based in Berlin.
